The Chieftain is a great WWDC bar, it's stumbling distance from Moscone and the assorted hotels near by. I've been a few times, but frankly I never want to stay for too long, as there is a better option pretty damn, close, or at least something more along my interest lines.

The Chieftain is a solid choice around the Metreon/Moscone area. A small but good beer selection backed up by a solid selection of good scotch/etc.
