I had one of my most memorable meals at Manresa. We did the full tasting menu... 12 courses, 4 desserts, with accompanying wines. To be honest, it was a little too much food for me to handle, but everything was spectacular. We were also dangerously tipsy by the end, so I'd recommend staying in the area after your meal there.
Oh, and also, this experience was what finally turned me onto raw oysters! -

One of the absolute best restaurants experiences I've ever had, tucked away behind a mini mall in Los Gatos, California.

A great gourmet restaurant. However, they lose points for being a bit too enamored with salt (I started playing spot-the-hand-placed-pile-of-salt with the dishes) and service that is just a bit too eager to move people out of the restaurant.
